Sidwell Bolae Lengatsa is a human rights activist who identifies as a proud gay father from Vaal heading the Vuka People’s Rainbow Movement as the executive director. Of the many hats he wears, he serves on numerous community-based structures within the Gauteng Province to address hate crimes and gender-based violence plaguing the LGBTQIA+ community. A compassionate humanitarian, he dedicates his time to advocating for equality and harm reduction for all marginalised communities such as sex workers, LGBTQIA, people living with HIV, women, and children, and people with a disability including people who use/inject drugs. Sidwell brings to the Sisonke National Movement board of directors, passion, compassion, and an extensive understanding of working with grassroots communities.
